Meet Our Family

Heather Teeter

I am a Christian. I know that I need God and that His love for me is unconditional.

I am a mother- that feels SO GOOD to say. I waited so long, and went through so much to become a mother and I love every moment I have with my son, even when he decides that pooping on the floor is more fun than in his diaper, or emptying the trash and smearing hummus everywhere is an acceptable form of play. Every moment, sweet or sour, endears him to me. I cannot get over how lucky I am to be his mother and what a gift God has given me by trusting his care in my hands.

I am a creative person. I am eager to learn how to make all things, including stuff that would be better left purchased from a store. In elementary school I would convince my teachers to let me film a video in lue of writing a book report. I would act out most of the parts and shoot the scenes. All of the videos were Grade A crap.

I am empathetic. In my younger years my favorite place to be was on our farm, running around shoe-less in manure and seeking out the wounded animals that needed my attention. While most kids would be socializing with their peers, I was saving a spider from being stepped on. My love for animals remains but my affections have moved more into the human world, and my

empathy finds its places in people and their stories.

I am a Christian. I believe that Jesus died for our sins and that because of grace, my sins are washed away and that I am loved by God. I believe that it is my job as a father to teach my children about God's love and to encourage them to know Him and have a relationship with Him.

I am a father.
Being a father is AWESOME. There is no greater joy than to come home and have your child happy to play with you, to want a hug and to say "hi" in their sweet voice. I am so thankful that I got to have the opportunity to be a father because for me, it has fulfilled by life in a way that no other thing could.

I am a leader. I naturally gravitate to experiences that allow me to use my leadership skills. Currently, I am the head of the English department as a teacher, and I thoroughly enjoy interacting with my students and educating them so that they can meet the demands of a world with many expectations. I enjoy being able to be in a position where I can give advice and be supportive to those who need encouragement.

I am a hard worker. I am someone who always aims to give 100%. I want to be able to do everything I can to make sure a task is completed with my full integrity and passion.

I am hyperactive and boisterous. I am always on the run and looking for all the adventures to be had in every day.

I am full of smiles and very social. I am the first to say "hello" to someone, even if it means screaming it out when I am too far away from them. I love to get people's attention and make their days brighter.

I am curious. I enjoy running ahead of mommy and daddy so that I can explore everything first. I like to touch everything and mouth everything just to make sure I know all that I need to about it.

I am loving. I am always good for a hug and a kiss for those I am close to.

I am a dog that won the hearts of my owners while they lived in Korea. I used having one eye to my advantage because my owners just couldn't resist my lopsided stare, so had to take me home with them. I like chewing on sticks and going for long walks.
